Thanks for your comment! I think it&#039;s important for people to know that using steam is much better for them (and the environment!) than dumping chemicals all over the place.  It&#039;s also important to note that for carpeted floors, it&#039;s better to call professionals who have actual steam equipment, because many of the &quot;steam&quot; vacuums marketed for carpet use don&#039;t produce any steam at all!!</description>

I agree with your recommendation.  I own a commercial cleaning company in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas.  In most situations when we clean tile and grout, very hot water (steam) will remove dirt, grease and grime.    If the floor is really bad, we have to apply a safe and eco-friendly product before we use the steam cleaner.  Since we do hundreds of jobs a day, we use commercial cleaning equipment which is capable of raises the water temperature beyond the boiling point; is able to create super high pressure; and the vacuum leaves the floor almost completely dry, but the principle is the same. I use a small portable machine to do touchups around my house.
